Mood / Doom
Spell mood backwards and you get doom. Same letters, opposite weather. Most days, that’s the whole difference between the two — not what’s in front of you, but where you’re standing when you look at it.
These four collages are proof of that. Same restless bodies, same UFOs, same moons, but the light lands differently in each one. A pool party can read as freedom or as something being watched. A man riding a pterodactyl under his own ship can read as flight or as falling, depending on where your eye lands first. A tornado behind two men holding each other can read as danger or as the only shelter available. A gold mirror doubling three bodies can read as vanity or as the simple relief of finally being seen.
Perspective decides which one you get. And which one you get says more about you than it does about the picture.
