What is realism? Is it believable scale, an accurate recreation of light? Is it the way the eye sees, or the way the heart sees?

Who’s to say what’s more or less real?

For a millennium and more, Western culture treated a gay relationship as less real than a straight one — less legitimate, less lasting, less worth building a room around.

In the light of day, we’re finding out that isn’t true.
