Juxtaposition Through Elaboration
It’s a kind of language, really.
Each layer is a phrase — figures collaged against dissimilar imagery, pulled out of their original context and stacked together until they build a whole new world to inhabit. The swans rhyme with the moon’s texture. The painted figure is the swan made human. The chorus of men rhymes with each other, but not with the chaos above them — and that dissonance is the whole point.
That’s the principle I keep circling back to in this work: juxtaposition through elaboration. Not just placing unlikely things side by side, but fully revealing each one until the collision becomes a conversation instead of a shock.
This is the principle of variety at work: not randomness, but layered conversation, where nothing sits quietly in the background.
